One-on-one Coaching FAQ's
Clear answers about how one-on-one coaching works.
Frequently asked questions
What is one-on-one coaching?
One-on-one coaching is a focused, conversational form of support. We use the time to think clearly about what you’re navigating, identify what matters most right now, and make grounded decisions that support forward movement in your work.
This is not therapy, and it’s not a program — it’s practical, thoughtful conversation with an outside perspective.
Who do you work with?
I work primarily with creative professionals and thoughtful, self-directed people who are already engaged in their work but want more clarity, steadiness, or momentum — especially during demanding or uncertain periods.
Do I need to know what I want to work on before starting?
No. Many people come in feeling unsure or scattered. Clarity often emerges through the conversation itself.
How often do we meet?
Some people come for a single session; others choose to work together weekly for a period of time. We’ll decide what cadence makes sense based on your needs and what you’re looking for support with.
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is forward-focused and practical. It’s not a substitute for therapy or clinical support, though it can complement other forms of care.
What actually happens in a session?
Sessions are conversational and focused. We’ll talk through what’s present, notice patterns that may be hard to see from the inside, and identify practical next steps or decisions that support clarity and momentum.
Do you use tools or assessments?
Sometimes. I may draw on reflective listening, strengths-based frameworks, or select assessment tools when they’re useful — always in service of clear thinking and forward movement.
How do I get started?
ou can send a message through the contact form. We’ll start with a brief conversation to determine what support would be most useful right now.
Do you offer creative coaching?
My work is often described as coaching for creative professionals. It’s grounded in real creative and professional environments, and focused on clarity, decision-making, and momentum rather than inspiration alone.
